Lotus Petal Yoga

Paripurna = Complete, entire; Nava = Boat; Asana = Posture

From seated with knees bent, feet flat on the mat, torso is drawn upward, rib cage is lifted and shoulders are relaxed. Head is in alignment with the spine. Hands are placed behind the knees as the knees are lifted off the mat. Balance is found on the sit bones. Lower legs are lifted parallel to the floor and when comfortable, extended out in a straight line. To come into the complete pose, arms are released from behind the knees and brought to shoulder height.

  • develops mental concentration
