Lotus Petal Yoga

Svarga = Heaven; Asana = Posture

From extended side angle on the right side. Right elbow is placed on the right knee and the left arm is extended out overhead. A bind is taken by the left arm reaching behind the back and the right arm reaching under the right thigh. Hands are clasped. Left shoulder opens as the gaze is up and over the left shoulder towards the sky. With the upper body bound, the left leg is slowly drawn towards the center of the mat. Left foot is firmed into the mat and takes the body weight. The right foot slowly lifts off of the mat. The torso slowly rises up to standing. The right foot slowly extends out as the knee straightens. Bind is maintained. Shoulders are worked down and back.
